Express Entry invites 3,500 healthcare and social services workers

On September 4, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its 53rd Express Entry round of the year - this time under the Healthcare and Social Services category. Invitations to apply (ITAs) went to 3,500 candidates with a CRS score of 475 or higher whose profile was in the pool before 12:26 a.m. UTC on May 26, 2026.

This was the third round in this category in 2026, bringing the year total in this stream to 11,500 invitations. According to IRCC, candidates with genuine ties to Canada - provincial nominations, Canadian work experience - remained a priority throughout the year's selections.
